The Miamind Neurostimulator, registered as custom-made medical device according to ANNEX XIII EU-MDR, is a modern non-invasive transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) and electroencephalography (EEG) device for personalised, non-invasive brain stimulation. It features a 3D printed cap with up to 34 electrodes which ensures perfect fit, good electrode contact and reproducible, high-precision treatment sessions at home.

In comparison to a “one size fits all” treatment with unpredictable effects, the goal of personalization with the Miamind® technology is to achieve greater precision and robustness in tES treatment. As an innovative home device for brain stimulation, the Miamind® brain stimulator allows patients to carry out their therapy conveniently and safely at home.
The brain stimulation device is based on patient-specific computational models to calculate the optimal therapy plan and electrode placement to achieve the best possible stimulation results. Since anatomy and physiology vary among patients, this personalized approach ensures a significantly improved electrical efficacy in the target area.

Components
Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (tES) with Miamind®
The custom design of the Miamind Neurostimulators consists of three main components developed to provide personalized, precise transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) therapy at home. The Miamind® Neurostimulator Cap is 3D-printed based on an MRI scan. It is customized to fit the individual anatomy of the skull of the person being treated, allowing for optimal electrode placement and reproducible treatment.
The Miamind® Neurostimulator Neckpiece serves as the core control component, managing the personalized stimulation and session timing. The Miamind® Neurostimulator Tablet App enables seamless monitoring of the treatment and secure data transfer. These components form an integrated system for personalized, precise tES and EEG monitoring.
